Atlantic's Members give boost to Hillside Special School and the Teenage Cancer Trust

We used the opening of the club as an opportunity to raise funds for the planned hydrotherapy pool at Hillside Special School in Sudbury and for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Former BBC TV journalist Michael Cole was on hand at the club's launch party on 28 September 2007 to hand over cheques totaling £3,420 to Suzy Rice from the Teenage Cancer Trust and Sue Upson from the Hillside Special School in Sudbury.

Sport Relief Benefits from Members' Efforts

Members of Atlantic Health & Spa raised £283 for Sport Relief as they kept an exercise bike and treadmill going continuously from 8am to 8pm on 14 March.

Almost a hundred people stepped up and took a ten minute slot throughout the day, with staff filling in to keep the machines going in between members and guests. “It was a great way to raise funds and I got more exercise myself than on a normal shift by joining in!” said Stef O’Hara, one of Atlantic’s duty managers.
